On June 9, 2018, The Aberdeen Museum of History suffered a devastating fire. We are grateful to the first-responders, the fire departments inside and beyond the county, the police, and all the people who helped that day.

Replacing a long-standing museum is an undertaking of monumental proportion. The City of Aberdeen Board of Museum of History is working to restore artifacts and select a site for a new museum. The City Board will accept donations of new artifacts and funds for museum operations. Donations of original artifacts or photographs should be made to the Aberdeen Museum of History. You can find the latest information of current restoration and how to donate to the museum at www.aberdeenmuseumofhistory.com.
