Friends of the Aberdeen Museum move into new offices at 200 W. Market Street (K Street entrance). Volunteers launch monthly photo displays of local Aberdeen and Grays Harbor history at First Friday events at the Aberdeen Art Center.

December 1 – The Friends participate in the Winterfest Marketplace with a photo display of Christmas Through the Decades. Also on display are vintage posters of Santa and of The Nativity dating from about the 1940s.

The Friends host the Historian of the Year Award, honoring John Larson, director of the Polson Museum. The dinner and award presentation is celebrated at the Rotary Pavilion. Keynote speaker is John Hughes, Washington State Historian.
